U.S. Shipping Update — De Minimis Suspended (Aug 29, 2025)
Our warehouse is in Canada. As of August 29, 2025 at 12:01 a.m. ET, the U.S. has suspended the de minimis exemption that used to allow shipments up to $800 USD duty/tax-free.
What this means for your order
- Duties & taxes now apply to most U.S. shipments, regardless of value.
- These charges are set and collected by the carrier for U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP)—they do not go to EZOKO.
- Assessment is based on when your package enters the U.S., not your order date.
What EZOKO is doing
- We’re shipping via UPS Expedited or comparable FedEx services and covering brokerage/entry fees ourselves. (This does not remove duties or sales tax.)
- We’re actively working on compliant ways to lower cross-border costs and will update this page as we improve.
A note to our U.S. angler community
We’re genuinely sorry for the added hassle. We value our U.S. customer-friends and your support means a lot to us. We’re hopeful that in the coming months, it becomes easier to exchange gear across the border. If anything’s unclear, chat with us on-site or reach us via the contact page—we’re here to help.
