Have caught pike and largemouth bass using both a straight retrieve and as a jerk bait. Slow to sink so able to pause retrieve in shallow situations while keeping it off the bottom. Able to fish through sparse lily pads mostly weed free.

These are pretty cool baits. Can be fished with many techniques. Yet to see if they catch fish. 4/5 stars only because they were not labeled or advertised as the shallow version. They are still very versatile and can always add weight.
